about

It's been at least a year since my last album release.. But, without further ado, I'm thrilled to share with you my latest project. I've been working on and off on this album for over two years and I consider it a keystone in an archway that opens into a new realm of musical expression for me. Each track is a manifestation of one state of mind, emotion or nostalgic reflection. I named the album Loma after Casa Loma (“House on the Hill”) both because this was the neighbourhood I moved to when I moved back to the city of Toronto, and because the overall feeling I get when listening to the project is that of standing on a hilltop and looking down over my past lives and experiences. This concept comes to full fruition in the last tracks of the album ‘Clams’ and ‘Dharamshala’. I also built a small studio in this neighbourhood and the entire album was recorded there.

Please enjoy the music, and feel free to leave a review of the album on Bandcamp. I’d love to hear your thoughts and feelings.

With love and gratitude,
James AKA Projectwhatever
